wedding programs

I know it's a big trend right now not to have programs at your wedding. Although I agree it's not necessary I believe it's something more important to your older guests- who are use to the tradition and expecting it {lets just be honest} So because of this reason I am going to have programs and why complain??? - it's just another way to infuse my style into the wedding. I don't want to have just a regular old boring program! I love the whimsy of the program above. Simple and something I can probably do on my imac.

Then I love, love, love this little "game" to keep guests busy and talking before the wedding called "What tree did you fall from" It's a Celtic tradition much like the Chinese Zodiac. I think it will make a great ice breaker to get guest mingling. And since I am over 50% Irish it's nice nob to my heratige. If you want to see what tree you fell from go here!

crafts...

Don't you love these??? I was instantly inspired when I saw this to cute craft. I grabbed my soon to be sister in law , Rylee,{who also happens to be the flower girl- she's nine} and headed to the fabric store. It was surprisingly simple. Rylee cute the circles from a template we made ourselves. I was in charge of the hot glue gun. I am excited to show you pictures of how stinkin' cute it turned out. But I ran out of one kind of fabric so I have to get more to finish it. Stay turned!

P.S. I found the instruction here.

where the wild things are

Check out Utterly Engaged! It is the first online wedding magazine and it is FANTASTIC. So much eye candy and not enough time! Right now I am completely smitten with their idea for a "Where the Wild Things Are" bachelorette party. I don't know what I love more, the cozy flannel blankets, or the cute and silly headdresses, or the great ideas for games and food. P.S. a camping bachelorette party would save your guests so much money. So many times now brides are opting for long weekend getaways for bachelorette parties-and while these are fun they can get to be expensive. This idea is chic, simple, and inspires fun in a new and inventive way. So don't be afraid to be unique. Every bride has a budget but even with a budget you can have something like this spread- you just have to be willing to put in a little bit of elbow grease and hard work.
