What happens when you google "nursery"...

I LOVE looking at nursery inspiration!  It is the best thing after a long day at the office.  I am also starting to really love Pinterest...I have been in like for a while but I never really had to time to sit down and really figure it out.  Call me a blonde but I didn't get what you were suppose to do for a while.  I was trying to have multiple pin it's on my bookmark bar and then weeks later it finally hit me.  You are only suppose to have one and then when you pin it, you can choose what board you want to put it under.

Please do not laugh to hard at me.  I seriously had only given it a second of my attention until recently.  It wasn't that difficult once I just sat down and took a look around, instead of believing that if I though positively enough my pins would just morph into attention grabbing boards.

Try out Pinterest!  It is a great place to stash inspiration for home, kitchen, and fashion {or whatever blows your skirt up}  Also check out this challenge by some of my favorite bloggers/stylistas, Emily Henderson  from Secrets of a Stylist and Sherry from Young House Love...

Don'tcha love links???

This is what is inspiring me lately...

     Wanna make my own fabric design here...

     I wanna make these tissue pom-poms for the shower Sunday...

     I really need to restock on the beauty supplies...

     Wanna learn how to use this baby and maybe grow a little business...

     Am loving poke a dots in soft shades of white on white...I have no link for this but I am making
     curtains for my kitchen that may or may not resemble that description...

     Love this book, Ryan got it for me as a present and I read through it CONSTANTLY- it gave me the
     courage to hit the flea markets in Paris...

Sorry if there are spacing issues...blogger is going crazy on me right now and well...lets face it, it's Friday and I don't care to spend time fixing it!   Have a happy weekend and wish me luck on throwing a Truly Scrumptious bridal shower.  Fingers crossed it will go off without a hitch!

PS the picture above was taken in New York City in Washington Park.  There is an artist who makes these completely by hand with sand and it rained right after I snapped this pic.

Glass containers for storage...

Image via

I am completely obsessed with glass containers right now.  I cannot get enough.  If I have a container that fits the job you can guarantee that is the direction I am going to go.  I got this insanely clever idea from an issue of The Nest {which I adore and will miss so much once my subscription runs out...it is a magazine only available after you first get married and you can't subscribe- so once you done, your done}

What have I been filling them up with lately?  Light bulbs, detergent, rice, twine, anything really.  It turns an ordinary object into something a little more interesting.  The Container Store has everything you would ever need if you too feel like you need some containers in your life.  I get mine from Goodwill, Restore, and sometimes Pier One.  But you can find them anywhere from Walmart to Target.

There are all kinds of containers out there!  Find some that fit your taste and style, use them for everyday items, and you will be so happy you won't be able to contain yourself! {sorry I couldn't help that last pun!}

There is still time to join the giveaway!!!

see my pretty thrifty finds?

Me and Ryan spent Saturday afternoon going to our new local Goodwill. I love to see all these second hand stores moving to bigger and better places! It means that thifters are alive and well and bringing it mainstream. I have a goal for my wedding. I saw one time while I was browsing through Etsy a girl was selling her entire wedding! For $2,000! She said it was a unique collection of vintage things she collected specifically for her wedding. She had pictures of how she used everything and I am thinking about doing the same after our wedding! Happy thifting!
